Hope you were able to join us for Oktoberfest 2012! The fun starts again next year!

The 5th annual Oktoberfest has come and gone! If you were able to join us, THANK YOU for making this the best Palatine Oktoberfest ever! We hope you are able to join us for the 6th annual Oktoberfest in September 2013!

Highights from the 2012 event:

Attendance is free! Live entertainment includes four bands doing six sets plus Family Day entertainment Saturday noon till 3:30. We have great German food, beer, and German and domestic wine. It's right across from the Palatine Metra train station, so it's easily accessible by public transportation with lots of free municipal parking nearby!

Oktoberfest is an event where neighbors, families, communitiy leaders, visitors, sponsors and donors get together to enjoy fellowship, good food, good beer, good music, and other entertainment. It is a family-friendly event, with Family Day children's activities on Saturday. We raffle baskets of goods worth at least $600 each, with many worth much more. Even if you can't visit Oktoberfest, you can still be a winner!

Oktoberfest is the principal fundraising event for the Rotary Club of Palatine. In 2011, we raised funds that allowed us to support local charities and nonprofits with a total of $40,000. Die Musikmeisters German Band plays a rousing blend of traditional German music for Oktoberfest or German themed events. Their extensive musical repertoire includes a variety of traditional German vocal and instrumental favorites, as well as Polish and American favorites. The band dresses in authentic German lederhosen.
